System or not, it's still on the player to make the throws.

    My point is simple:
    1) Jones is in a system that pads QB stats
    2) Compared with his predecessor, he is clearly way way worse.

Now if y'all wanna crown Jones, then crown him. But he is who I always thought he was, and I ain't letting him off the hook.

Ok Dennis, I think our definition of sucks differs a bit in this scenario. Jones isn't great, but doesn't suck. To me, Rhett Bomar sucks.

Yes, Landry Jones isn't bad on a level of, say, Matt Simms. I agree with this.

But isn't Landry Jones the reason everybody is all over Oklahoma's nuts? I think it is, and that's why I'm prepared to see them have a mediocre season. I'm backing Texas because I KNOW their defense will be good. And even if Ash isn't the second coming of Steve Young, Texas has realy really good running backs.

Very few qbs in college football have great road records.

Jones has that stills guy at wr, a good rb (forget his name), a pretty experienced and talented oline. they always seemt to have a couple of nfl players on D too.

Most competent people weren't expecting more than 9 wins anyway.

I could see us disappointing. However, Spurrier has been speaking highly of Shaw. That gives me confidence that we may have a competent offense.

Jones is most certainly mediocre, but I wouldn't say he's actually worse than Ash. Texas' system is very kind to QBs as well...

Texas will disappoint. Louisville is my pick for surprise team, they will earn a BCS bowl birth.

IMO, SCAR beats UGA and steals all of their hype.
