Gamecocks will have just played Georgia, @LSU, and @Florida. They could be reeling at that point. Still, there's nothing resolute about this team. If the Vols drop games to Florida, Georgia, Miss St, and Bama, they're not going to have enough fight in them to go on the road and win in a tough SEC environment. Besides, South Carolina is just better than Tennessee this year.
I've watched a lot of SEC football. South Carolina is as good as anybody when they are clicking. They can hang. I worry about their secondary against Alabama, but that is it.
While I agree, Spurrier is smart enough to pull something out of his hat. That's a luxury we don't have, unfortunately.
A lot of the sunshine pumpers neglect this idea when they are looking for that 7 or 8 wins they feel is needed for Dooley to survive. If we start 0-4 in the league the I don't give a crap will probably show up in a bad way.
He has them playing a style of ball that doesn't put them in a position to beat themselves which is unorothodox for him. It forces you to just outplay them.Which is where our problem lies.
I'm trying to not think about it that way. I'm trying to see it as an inevitability I must accept. I don't think one has to hope. Just wait.
Yep. Frustrating, isn't it? It would be nice to see some forethought in our playcalling. I think Chaney allows toos pumpers to call some plays in exchange for their undying defense of the staff.
