My point is that nickels are typically gauged to be better at stopping the run or stopping the pass. Either way, there's a weakness. We check hatchet against 5 wide, which mans up every receiver with an all out blitz. The point of that kinda blitz isn't necessarily to get to the QB. A good QB will make the checks necessary to complete hot routes. The point is to let him know he's going to get hit in the mouth every. Damn. Time.
