His "next gig" will be Associate Head Coach at USC.

I would put it top 2 with Texas. God I hate Texas.

I said the same thing before btw, but I'm willing to admit when I was wrong. I've never seen a guy turn around a fanbase so quickly. I was in the Trojan club after the game, uber rich alumni club inside the stadium, and not a single person wasn't in favor of him getting the job.

I'm getting the USC job. It's a lock.

Leave him alone. He's not here to defend himself.

He has zero shot of getting that job. Even he knows it.

True. O's got 3 years of performance that say he has no business being the head coach anywhere that matters. I like the guy, but hiring him instead of any of about 50 guys USC can reasonably expect to take the job if offered is insanity. It would get Haden fired, so maybe I do want Ed to get the post.

    Fill in the big blank.

Unless he has a good NFL offer, I'd be surprised if it isn't Del Rio.

If this happens, I hope Del Rio chokes on it. His turning it down before is what brought Dooley to UT.

Del Rio definitely wants it, but is playing it cool. That is the rumor in Denver.

And Del Rio is a great coach. If he has O recruiting for him, he won't fail.

I agree about O staying on as an assistant. He knows he has little to zero shot of ever getting a quality job again. Why rot away at some directional school when you can still stay significant at a good school?
