Appy St lacks Thus nite focus.

 

I've been to multiple USC Thursday night games and the atmosphere was terrible. tailgating was shut down because classes were going and people didn't really start showing up till 6-7pm. now that's USC fans and not Tenn fans, but I still don't quite see the point of this. unless they think people are really tuning in because appy state upset a team 10 years ago or whatever.

 

It's an attempt to get more eyeballs on the game.

 

I understand that, but I question how many people will care enough to tune in for the beating. it's a pretty terrible slate that night though:

Charlotte at Louisville
Oregon State at Minnesota
South Carolina at Vanderbilt
Southern Utah at Utah

I kinda like the move the more I think about it.

 

From a students perspective I would have loved a Thursday night game in college.

 

Thursdays were $1 beer nights in Coconut Grove back in the day when I would enjoy a beer or two and look at smoking hot women, while a football game was playing in the background.

 

I'm curious to see what they'll do with us. They take up our whole parking lot with RVs and are pretty enthusiastic about kicking us out by 6 on Friday of a typical game week.
