It doesn't bother me he went to a place that he thought he had a better chance for a title, but he did just make his path to a championship much tougher by going to the West.

When you’ve had a career-threatening injury like he had, it can make sense to pass up some per-year salary to get a longer-term contract

His new shit team can add Kawhi Leonard, though.

Meh. Warriors aren’t going to be together forever, maybe just another season.

Agree, I could see Durant leaving

Its the Lakers with LeBron, it shouldnt be hard to make a good roster.

California is a different kind of place, plus isn't he going to pay like 96% in taxes?

Is this Lakers team good enough to win a championship, even if they add Kawhi?

This also makes the Paul George decision even more confusing.

2 of the top 5 players in the league is enough to win a title IMO, at least in a normal non-Warriors world. If Kawhi is healthy, I think it's better than what Houston has.

Also interesting to see if he becomes ca resident, because at that point endorsement income is also taxable.

Not to me. Kawhi goes to LA, how do three hybrid forwards fit on the same team?

    PG - Lonzo
    SG - George
    SF - Kawhi
    PF - LeBron
    C - ???

I don’t think the Lakers would have enough money for all three anyway without someone taking a pay cut, though

    They’re all very different players.

It’ll be interesting to see what other moves the Lakers make. Kawhi may not be an option this year, and if not, do they wait for him?
