Yikes. On the bright side Auburn is now in full dumpster fire mode which I think means we will make a championship run with a different coach either next year or the following year. Also, you seen the video of Pruitt right before the play where Auburn goes double reverse and throws a pick? Pruitt is on the field and right before the ball is snapped tells the corner to blitz (not sure who it was) and he runs down Stidham to force the pick. Kinda badass.
The money is there if needed, I can assure you of that. The question is what it takes to make those that have to spend it willing? I think losses to Ole Miss and A&M would do it and at this moment that seems likely.
I just don’t see how Auburn could possibly beat A&M right now but we’ll see. If Gus does stay I’m sure Auburn will somehow have a very good year next year which will allow for a super dumpster fire in 2020.
He still could be. Kid can flat out spin it. He should go to a good offensive school next year and go for 4,00 yards and 35 TD’s, get drafted in the 5th round and be a backup. He could pull that off.
Well I’d say there’s nothing Auburn could do next year for Gus to get another extension but honestly that would be a pretty Auburn thing to do.
I called that play. And others. I was sitting with a buddy and we were near one particular play... RHV’s Friend: What’s the call here RHV: Jet sweep to Shaun Shivers... *half second passes* RHV: No, no, no, fake jet sweep to Shaun Shivers, Stidham looks for Schwartz deep and gets sacked. That’s exactly what happened. If I called it right before it was snapped how quickly do you think Pruitt and co knew? Probably on formation alone.
