Distrust? No, I don't think that's the way to go. A healthy skepticism is good, though, to me.

However, that wasn't really the gist of my comment. I was noting that people are quite willing to use the benefits of taxation without much second thought, which would make everyone an accessory to the crime of theft, if that's how taxes operate.

 

I agree on both accounts, but I think there was no malice or deception intended.
