This happened to Iowa today. Haven't seen the replay though. https://x.com/ESPNRittenberg/status/1715873867372331130?s=20
im not looking it up. Just have seen many many players the last couple of years in college and pro put their arms out straight
I think its to make it clear they don't have the ball as it lands in the endzone and is immediately ruled dead.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking either FG. The issue is the 3 plays before each of them that led to having to kick them.
Stoops is not great coming out of a bye but he may get us in this one if we see a shitty offensive performance again. Pass rush needs to rebound and wreck their QB.
The officials were never letting us leave with a win. The worst thing we could have done was play that first half of solid football.
Road games are in our heads, Tennessee games are in their heads. We have a better football team, which helps. But it's losable. Missouri is looking downright frightening, but Heupel usually has them ready for that one.
Road games against Kentucky the past 30 or so years have normally been competitive. However, they’ve only beaten Tennessee twice in Lexington in that span. Both of those wins came against absolutely dreadful UT teams. As bad as tonight was, UT still matches up very well and KY looks to be in a complete tailspin.
So they called invalid signal: I don't see anything putting that and the touchback rule together, though.
