You can't complain about anything he's done. You can laugh at how corny some of it's been, but it's working.

Now, he's got to show he can win ball games.

 

I like the fact that he's also nailed down two '15 kids.

Maybe we shouldn't be laughing at this point. We were all dead wrong about this guy from the get-go.

I'm not so sure we were wrong about this staff.
Especially on the defensive end.

 

I'm willing to give them a chance. My patience, however will be thin. I'll admit I was at least dead wrong about them being able to recruit at least this year given they haven't coached a game yet. Yes we do have some legacy players and good in state prospects already committed that any somewhat competent coach could have landed, but we're also in on several out of state kids on a level I never thought we'd be this early on too.

 

Somehow we got this "this place sucks, no kids want to come here, it's hard to recruit here" complex (media-aided) and he's at least showing that to be ridiculous.

Although now with Butch, you make one comment on us not getting a prospect and they all start hollering Butch Please. ..

I think some of them think we're gonna sign 50 prospects in this class.

 

I'm pretty sure this came from the (true) statement that it's a lot of work to recruit here (because we have to recruit a lot of out-of-state) somehow getting transformed to "nobody wants to come here," which is absurd.

 

In some ways it's a lot of work, yeah, you have to get out there, but there is a lot to sell, the last 5+ years notwithstanding.

 

the butch please stuff is so annoying. Especially the ones talking logically about us not getting Mosely unless Bama passes on him.. yet all the sheep scoff and say butch please. Need a brick by brick 2 the face to those tools imo.
