Florida will probably take a step forward and piledrive us in Neyland. South Carolina hires a new guy and beats us, proving to VN, somehow, that Jones needs more time.

 

As long as they bring back some Coors, they'll be fine.

 

We'll make sure plenty of freshmen get a few snaps vs. Appalachian State, and that will be sufficient to claim that we are the youngest team in two centuries.

 

Yeah. Their growing pains lasted through spring camp.

 

Our SOs have played more football than most Jrs.

 

New excuse: they are all overplayed and worn out. Need more young blood and fresh legs before we can expect championships.

 

Seriously, though. We should destroy people next year, if we can get someone making our DBs and WRs play halfway decent.

The roster and experience are there.

 

The early conversation in the comments over at Rocky Top Talk (which I feel like tends to capture the expectations of the fans who aren't just assuming the coaches will screw everything up or that they'll win every game) seems to be putting the expectation at 10-2. Split UF/UGA/TAMU/Bama, win the rest.

I am happy with that being the expectation.

 

If UT drops the first 2 of that 4 game stretch it will be 8-4 if they don't fall apart against someone after the 4th L.

 

Damn it, I hate to see potential wasted.
