[uck fay] you, Georgia! I hope all my UGA friends who have given me shit ever since 41-0 go to their graves having never seen their team win it all during their lifetimes. Now get your ass to Knoxville, Pruitt.
It's difficult to fully measure how far Tennessee has fallen behind each of those programs. It can't be measured in inches, but miles.
I like to think UGA losing kept us from moving light years behind them, as well as Bama, but it truthfully it probably doesn’t.
UGA is about to sign the top class and is recruiting at an even higher level than before. They will distance themselves even further, for now.
Eh, couple of good classes and we're right back in the mix. If nothing else, I feel more confident that ever that we'll have a coach who will play the best player, whether he is a freshman or redshirt senior.
Wishful thinking really. UGA making one more play or not making it didn't make the divide any more or any less.
And that won't be changing anytime soon. Folks want to be hopeful and I get it, but UT won't be sniffing championships in the next decade. And that's okay because the university doesn't really care about them; no real need to on their part.
It doesn't for a program committed to winning. That isn't UT, nor has it been for some time. Tennessee is no longer a championship program - in anything. And there are no indications whatsoever that situation is changing. Blind hope, sure.
its possible bringing in a coach that has been a big part of several championships and recruiting a different caliber player isn't just blind hope, and I believe Pruitt is committed to winning because that's all he's ever done, at every stop. Hell i'm still not sure about Kirby. Can he develop? Can he keep his composure when things don't line up perfectly for them like this year. Chubb, Sony, Hardeman, Roquon and the other 30+ leaving the program may be a factor. Fromm is a stud but they took it out of his hands.
