We have taken calls from a few highly ranked (in HS) kids who are looking at the portal due to coaching. Chandler, Fulk and Bailey leave we have 2 open spots.

 

Please 2 of them be post players

 

and/or be able to beat defender off dribble or back defender down for easy shot when needed.

Wouldn't Fulkerson not create a spot, since he was using a COVID year? Or I guess that is what you are saying, never mind.

I just don't see how it would be possible, unless he is given a low projection pick and thinks he can move up a lot next year. Of course, the big thing in the NBA is your second contract. That's when you can really hit it big. So, one year more in college is one year further away from that big second contract.

 

He needs to go, regardless. There's nothing more for him here.

 

Per VQ, TN is going to be a factor for Phillips.

 

He had plans to stay two years if he needed to from the get go

I don't expect him to come back but I wouldn't be shocked if he does for one more year

 

This is where I'm at. I don't expect him to come back but won't be surprised if he does. I think it will largely depend on where he grades out. If he's late first round or early 2nd, let's pay him ourselves and keep this thing rolling.

Ya. Someone was saying we have 2 spots with Bailey leaving. Which means we didn't use a spot this past year, since Fulky shouldn't have counted? Don't know.
