It means he's definitely capable of doing so and leaving him alone leaves open the not so unrealistic possibility of hitting a few threes so since, you know, he's done it before Saturday. More than once.

 

Wayne Chism shot about 32% here from 3. It was stupid to leave him all alone and wouldn’t ever surprise me if he hit 4-5 3’s in a game if the other team left him wide open.

 

We were hedging hard on the high screen like we have done all year, pressuring the ball and preventing the drive. Nothing wrong with it.
The hindsight here is amazing:
--go to BHH instead of santi/zz/chandler/jjj spotting up
--don't hedge and risk penetration by staying in the face of a 7 footerb21 feet out.
I swear I have no idea what some of you see when you watch a game. Must feel like me watching rugby, then complain after that we pitched it backwards too much

Pretty sure only 1 of the makes came off a hedge and we didn’t even need to because the screen was set close to half court. I’d have to go back and watch.

 

Yeah, he's capable of shooting 3/5 from 3, just like we are capable of shooting 2/18 from 3. Both are very unlikely, and both happened in the same game.

Saying "he's capable of shooting 3/5 from 3" is not the same thing as trying to compare him to our shooters.
