2022 SEC tournament predictions

LSU could be a problem, or they could come out tomorrow and score 38 points

Hopefully it’s only a 48 hour injury and he is able to lead his team to an NIT championship

 

Guilty as charged. I’m still not sold on this team being able to get very far in the big tournament but maybe I’ll be wrong about that too. I was pretty sure this squad would be NIT bound two months ago…

 

I dont think anybody is confident due to how we can go cold and the nature of March madness, along with what seems to be a little bad luck and the idea about Barnes that his coaching during the tournament is why we lose, which I don't get because it doesn't change. I hope we can make a run because I like this team. If we don't I'll have to stay off here because they will come out of the woodwork with I told you so's.

 

We’re not at the point where everything has to break right for us to make the second weekend, but it definitely has to break right to make the Final Four.

Our defense travels. But our three-point shooting was notably worse away from home, and we’re one of the worst in the country finishing at the rim. If literally any of our interior guys gets into a groove, we’ll have a ton of open threes. If we then make those open threes, we’re going deep.

On the other hand, a cold shooting night with no help from the posts may send us home early unless we can defend and rebound ourselves out of trouble (which, to our credit, we have this year against everybody we’ve played who isn’t a legit top 25 team).

 

Was hoping South Carolina won that. MSU played us tough in Starkville.

 

I’m not confident about tomorrow. Line is like 6.5. They get everything at the rim so they don’t have to worry much about cold shooting.
