Losing to a team which just got beat by Grambling. Sorry, getting worked over in every way possible. Two games in and I don’t see a significant amount of stuff I like in this team.

 

Better now than March? Ugly game, but a long season

I don’t care what Grambling did. We were soft mentally and physically across the board and spacing still sucks off picks.

 

This is going to hurt our first weekend exit seeding.

 

This is our first loss as a favorite of 12+ in the Barnes Era. We’re now 49-1. Was bound to happen eventually, and we have a lot of new faces to integrate. Hopefully we can gel in February like last year.

 

Literally every player played bad on both ends. No composure. Nobody smoothe. Low awareness. Off balance on defense. One of those games.

He tried to get Yuri Collins and almost had him until St Louis scrounged up enough NIL to talk him out of transferring

 

I read that “it’s not working” as “it’s not working right now” and not “it’s never going to work”

 

Nah. Just weren’t focused and they admitted as much in postgame

Dykes got it right when he said “Tennessee got Grambling’d” - assumed they’d walk into the gym and just bend the knee.

 

Zz had the roughest game he’s had. Poor decisions on offense and lost his man or beat on D quite a bit. Things will get better as they play more together and we find the good combinations, but guys like santi, jjj and Olivier have to lead by example and be more physical. Jjj was posted up by a smaller player at least 3 times.

 

This reminded me of the Oregon State NCAAT game

I think so. They'll probably start playing games in January.
