I don't know that any schools need his services.
Purdue was like, "Nah, we'll pass."
They thought about before they found out they had much better options that were seriously interested.
Yeah, that secret is out. Way out.
Petrino's buyout just got cut in half with Jurich's firing at Louisville according to reports.
I'd imagine it's a for cause firing, he won't get a penny
if i'm currie, i want fulmer no where near that interim job. i don't think he'd have to win out at all for people to push him to come back. look at the orgeron situation and ed certainly didn't have phil's contacts and goodwill at LSU.
especially given the other scandals that hit before.
Petrino's buyout got reduced. Not Pitino's.
Pitino is already fired.
Agree. With LSU appearing to be much worse than expected, the schedule sets up for a decent chance for UT to run the table minus Bama after this Saturday.
That may also partially explain the push to fire Butch now instead of waiting for the end of the season.
Given that his buyout is mitigated by future earnings, I hope there's a MAC or Sun Belt school who thinks that maybe the pressure at UT was too much but he's just what they need
Don't want to give him the chance to fall bassackwards into 9-3? Fair
Butch is now the favorite to fired first in the SEC at 6-5 odds. Sumlin second at 7-5. Per Todd Fuhrman on Twitter.
Anyone who comes in will have to continue with Butch's "offense" for this year I would think.
Nah, there is enough to work with after cutting out the dumb
Just saying, I don't think we are going to start seeing I-Formations and play action vertical routes in 2017. Seems like it would take an offseason to implement such a change.
The remainder of our schedule is so bad we could revert to a middle school offense, like we did at the end of 2008, and we shouldn't lose more than 2.
Yep. Don't need to forget that LSU is as dumb and uncoached as we are.
