It is simple. Sit the rest of the drive if you couldn't get off the field.

 

Yeah pretty easy fix. But would need to have someone in charge to make sure the player doesn’t jump back in and it’s a 5 yard penalty if they get caught.

 

I'd go even stronger. If you can't get off the field on your own you should be done for the rest of the quarter. If some agent of mercy has to come to your aid while you're laying on the field then you would at least think a half-hour break on the sidelines to recover would be a minimum.

Well, I have some circumstances that could make that excessive: air knocked out of you, shot to the groin, etc.

I don't get that statement at all. We dropped several passes, made more penalties than them, threw a pick when we were knocking on the door, and were able to run the ball all over them. We were 17 points better. Yet A&M is the "better team."
