I appreciate the reco. I'll put it on the list along with Better Call Saul and Westworld (which I don't know how I'll get....cept by torrenting).

Yeah, I'm triggered now. Chances of seeing Darkseid on the big screen plummeted the day that film was released.

Along those lines, I may have seen the big Marvel movie, but me and the boy child rocked our Superman and Flash tees when we went.

That's how we were. The family rocked out Batman, Superman, The Flash and Wonder Woman.

I got a VERO account just to follow Zack Snyder's personal stuff from Justice League.

I totally respect one's choice to prefer DC Comics.

I don't understand it, but I respect it. Honestly, DC always just seemed....cheap (for lack of a better term) to me.

The 3 Dark Knight movies were quite good though.

And it's good to "see" you again, OE.

If you’re not a fan of the struggle of duality, you won’t care for DC.

No DC, no big baddie in Infinity War. Thanos - a cheap, counterfeit Darkseid.

Thanos absolutely craps on any villain from these new DC movies.

And, you can thank DC for him.

I’d love to know what the Disney quote is that got cut from the movie.

    Not much of a multitasker.

    Or so the wife says.

When I started reading comics in the late 70s, DC sucked so hard it wasn't even funny. So I never got into the DC universe at all.

And I always struggle with Superman being your main hero. I know that DC changed a lot in the mid-80s with the Teen Titans and the Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns series, but it was too late for me by then.

I get the Superman stuff but I focus more on the background of why he was created. That's were I find my peace with the character. Zack Snyder was absolutely right that he understands Superman better than most. It's Hope.

The Dark Knight Returns is just flat out amazing.

If nothing else, just for the toll mentally and physically of crime fighting over an extended period of time.

Top it off with Batman's greatest failure with Jason Todd.

Again, praise for Snyder, Todd's burned out motorcycle in Bruce's training area in Batman v Superman to remind him of that failure.

Batman: Year One and Jeph Loeb and Tim Sales' take on Batman are great. Nolan used a lot of these ideas in his trilogy.

So, I've watched it again now that it's out on DVD. It's interesting how a few bits of selfishness by people blew at least three chances at preventing Thanos from getting a soul stone or alternatively could have killed him. Gamora/Drax/Peter on Knowhere rushed in without a plan in bursts of revenge/anger led to the Soul Stone. Quill on Titan when Mantis had Thanos under her sleep spell and he was pissed at hearing about Gamora. And Thor when throwing Stormbreaker and not going for the head or arm, so that he could brag about "I told you I would kill you".

Now tied in with the Ant-Man movie, I really wonder how this will play out.

The scene where Quill [uck fay]ed things up was pretty lame.
