I don’t lead it but our kids want to pray before their games and one of them leads it.

I forget about it often and they never forget about it.

I'm not allowed to lead prayers in my house anymore, because my wife doesn't have a sense of humor.

Dear Lord Baby Jesus, I want to thank you for this wonderful meal, my two beautiful sons, Walker and Texas Ranger, and my red-hot smokin' wife, Carley.

I like to picture Jesus singing lead for Lynyrd Skynyrd with an angel band, and I'm in the front row hammered drunk.

You still in antioch? I'm right down 24 from you in Mboro now. Please set up a blockade at Antioch to stop the traffic from coming this way.

Freedom of religion kind of covers MAKING kids pray, right?

I'm fine if a coach leads a prayer. It should be made clear beforehand that no athlete is required to participate and that there are no consequences from the staff if a student doesn't participate.

If the coach is acting as part of his capacity as an employee of a public school, and not a volunteer, he does not, in that capacity, have a defense under the 1st Amendement, because he is considered an extension of the government.

If there were clever people in this state, they would challenge this citing Supreme Court opinion on freedom of association (the public unions case), but not to take it down.

To say we won’t pay taxes for something that associates us with religion.

See how quickly that one gets turned around.
