Not to mention the person that says such a thing will have to give up bananas and coconut and olive oil immediately to live by such a principle.
Try the sprouts roasted with pancetta, onions, garlic and olive oil. Grate a little parm on top at the end - good stuff.
I ate a vegetable called broccolini the other day. It was a kale-broccoli hybrid. Was really really good actually.
Kale chips are pretty good. Salt, red pepper flakes, bake them. Roasted brussel sprouts (tossed in olive oil, salt, pepper, and a little garlic) are really good.
Cannot stand greens of any sort (save raw spinach or spinach maria). Brussel Sprouts, however, are good. A lot of people cannot get past the bitterness of them, but some salt helps with that.
I guess I'm in the minority of liking fresh lettuce and green onions with bacon grease poured over it and crumbled up bacon on it. I also like poke salad with an egg on it
Next time I'm giving this a try. Can't go wrong when garlic and olive oil are involved add pancetta ... stomach just growled "feed me" Wife loves. I on the other hand haven't quite come around though gbcvol's suggestion is persuasive.
Wife's made Brussel sprouts various ways. There's yet to be a way I like. Really, spinach is the only leafy veggie I like. Will tear zucchini and squash up though.
I'm good w/ pretty much all green leafy veggies. I'm with you there. All types of squash particularly butternut and acorn. Warm zuc bread and a swath of butter ... yummmm
