I am unsure what they are discussing and what the conclusions will be, but I think we can reasonably assume the Butch Jones era has reached its conclusion. No idea about timeframe for an announcement, but I sure hope it's tomorrow.
Stupid that the buyout structure was not negotiated at the last extension. You might have to have a long term contract in place for recruiting. But you could get away with adjusting buyout for a coach that has done shit.
It has been reported that UT's buyout went up as of the December 2015 raise that he received. I don't think he's going to get fired tonight or tomorrow. I believe they'll let him twist in the wind. Butch may assault a reporter too, which would make his firing for cause or stroke out and die. The wheels are in motion, he's not going to be hire much longer.
I'm 50/50 on him being coach at 5pm tomorrow, and 100% certain there won't be a year 6. There's also a new sheriff running this show.
