I don’t care why anyone is here illegally. Offered just in case my position on this has been less than clear.
I just can't understand why when 3 prior presidents said we need tighter border security, everyone yells, yeah, but this piece of shit Trump says it, and if you agree now, you are a racist and hate what America was built on.
Actually, most people do want more border security of some sort. It's the framing, intent and narrow mindedness of Trump that draws the opposition. This is an idea presented through racist dog whistling, drummed up by phony outrages, fear mongering and outright lies and the basic plan is some half cocked wall of varying height and cost depending on his mood which won't ever get built.
Have Dems always used the word dog whistling or has Trump created that word for them? I swear it's used 500 times a day.
Sure it is. Houses are secure, and they have four walls. But ports of entry can be broken in to. So of course now we need a security system. But those guys don’t really respond all that fast. So we’ll probably need a security guard. And you know what really works? Walls. So we’ll need a security fence. But the entrance could be broken in to...
It's why I'm still shocked the Dems haven't passed a spending bill spending the 5.7bn on Border Security (virtual walls, sensors, etc.) instead of going out of their way to not fund anything.
You can’t dismantle a wall without everyone seeing undeniable proof of it. Everything else can be slowly chipped and filleted away, except a physical barrier, and nothing beats a wall, for that.
You don't get to bemoan the media and polls when it doesn't fit your narrative, then hail them when they do. Well, you can, I guess, but it shows what you're really about when you do.
Fair. But I am certain that his emphasis on the wall is two-fold: 1. It is most effective, and 2. You’ll have undeniable proof when someone takes it down.
I suspect his emphasis is because there will be undeniable proof when it goes up. He didn’t own the casinos - he just liked to have his name plastered on the buildings.
The making of more and more government workers "essential" so that they have to come in and work without pay is bullshit.
The law that allows this needs revisited by Congress or by courts. While I'm no legal scholar, I don't buy the most recent ruling concerning the matter as being proper and a good example of the federal fox minding the henhouse.
