The part about 'well-educated' is kind of hilariously untrue

 

But considering both lines are being replaced 100% I think he's right to attempt to manage expectations a bit

 

The defensive line should be better. No offense to Daniel Hood, but he wasn't very good. Neither was Jacques. McCullers had moments, but aside from USCe he never played a full game to his potential.

With Maggitt putting his hand on the ground, you have two legit speed rushers. Mixon has been very good all spring. Owen Williams, even if he's average, is as good if not better than Hood. Now, the depth behind them is all young and unproven, but I'll take young and unproven over proven to be mediocre.

The OL is going to be worse by quite a bit. 4 NFL OL leave and I don't think anyone but maybe Thomas and Jackson have NFL potential replace them.

Yeah, but I have a theory about offensive lines. It's a two part theory, maybe three. I'm still working out the kinks, and not ready to drop magnum, but I'll just say I'm not quite as concerned about the OL as most.
