    End-arounds and reverses all day.

When a child is beaten with broom handles, it grows up to try to win games with sweeps. Sad. Get help, Mike.

We can do wildcat with the WR corps too. Have all three line up in shotgun, direct snap to whomever. It's a flawless plan.

We've got a world class HC and a 6A coaching staff. The talent will be there to turn a corner but our OC can't develop a QB and our DC couldn't hem a rat up with 5 tomcats.

A QBs best friend is his OL. There's a reason why so many NFL QBs take the OL to dinner so often. They wouldn't drop that much money on guys that can bankrupt Golden Corral if they were not vital to the QBs and/or RBs success.

Give me a great OL & average QB any day of the week. Hard for great QBs to be successful on their backs. Same for RBs. And receivers can't be successful when the QB is running for his life or on his back.

Football games are won and lost on the LoS. Period.

As compared to an average OL and a great QB? That's silly.

if we're gonna wish for something let's wish for a great QB and a great O-line and a 6-pack of Schlafly's Pale Ale

That actually makes me feel really good.

thing is, if you're gonna have this, you better also have a great RB and a great defense

Right...because with an average QB, you're options are pretty limited. Which is why Jay's claim is silly....to put it nicely.

    I can agree with that.

I will say that a great OL can make RBs look better than they are.

However, you had me at "great defense".

Trent Dilfer and Jeff Hostetler, just to name 2, say "hi".

and those guys would be who, exactly, without historically great defenses?

FWIW I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with either of you. Football takes the whole team, more than any other sport.

And I agreed with that. Kidb is the guy that thinks defense doesn't win championships. Not me.

Not being an ass (really), but I don't care if you or kb agree or disagree with me on football. Everyone can coach from the stands.

But not everyone can do it as well as I can.

Just wish I got paid half of what Jones gets paid. Heck, I'd even take a fourth.

Tee Martin also says hi. Go back and watch the 98 Arkansas game again. What our great OL did in the last 1:43 of the game is textbook of what a great OL will get done. Also, you don't have Henry running for almost 200 yards against a top 10 team with an average OL.
