Yup. I missed his 1600 because I couldn't get some stuff changed, but was there for the 800. The dudes in fast heat of the 800............shew boy. Them boys were men.

I'm an assistant coach for my 10 year old's baseball team. Head coach has never coached before, thankfully the other assistant is a grandpa that has been around 30 years.

I told them to bat my son last and put him in RF, I didn't want to be accused of daddy ball. After 4 practices and and three scrimmage, he's batting leadoff and playing shortstop and catcher. I'm proud of the work he's put in

 

We're gonna do the no fair catch punt return drill all practice today to prove a point.

 

How in the world do you keep getting in these situations?

 

In high school, our MLB was one of the nicest, most soft spoken people I've ever met in my life. He was the person that was always going out of his way to help people and was a teacher's pet type student. Once he stepped on the field, he was [uck fay]ing nuts. It was always funny to see the difference.

 

I volunteered for it in football, baseball? My kid has turned down a few travel ball invites to "stick" with a team so we get bounced around.

 

Our best linemen last year (probably second best one I've had since I've been doing this) was like that. A complete teddy bear everywhere but the football field, where he became demon possessed. To the point I had to tell him to calm down a time or two.

We opened up at Farher Ryan and lost to them and Briarcrest. Responded by beating Houston and Collierville going into spring break. Not seeing a 3 peat this year but last year we lost 6 in a row before not losing again. Spring break this week and I look at the schedule and the 28th ranked team in US and #3 in Cali called Foothill is comeing to play us Wednesday.
This is akin to the football team playing Carson Newman. I hope they stop keeping score. They are playing Mater Dei Saturday as a tuneup lol. I guess they decided to spend spring break in Nashville or half the families decided to house hunt. Long way to go to play 2 games

Is there a lacrosse equivalent to the four corners offense?

 

ha. Yeah no shot clock in tn hs ball but I think their may be a rule where refs can prevent stalling like that, though I’ve not seen it called.

 

Probably best that they have a rule against stalling. My dad tried to get our team to do that in a middle school game once because the other team had some kid that looked like he could be playing college ball. I told him I'd rather lose by 100 actually playing than to stall all game and wouldn't play if we did it. He ran my ass into the ground during practice for threatening not to play and we ran a regular offense and got our ass kicked.

 

yeah the 4 corners in hs hoops with no shot clock sucks. I’ve been to a couple of games with scores in the 20s and that plan does not help any of the kids on the court develop and compete.
But I’d rather compete and get whipped and see how they respond in practice and next game than not really competiting as sport is intended.

 

I forget who it was, but one of the sub-state games either Saturday or Monday was 10-6 mid third.

 

i don’t like that at all.
