Florida is having the most COVID activity they've had since this started. Why this summer and not last summer, though? Not sure.

Maybe. Or maybe just less discretion even more broadly than that.

It is zero there. I went in June and was like a zoo animal on display.

I met my first doctor who was anti vax yesterday (COVID, not others).

Long story short - there is not enough data for her to be convinced that the vaccine helps more than the potential long term issues it may cause in younger people. She's a firm believer the delta and gamma variants were caused by it. More or less the only way we were going to defeat this long term was to vaccinate the most at risk people and then let it run it's course with everyone else and we develop natural immunity.

Said she may take the Nova (?) vaccine if it is approved but she hasn't made her mind up as of now.

She wasn't flippant or arrogant about it at all. It just came up as we were talking and I asked her for more details.

I probably forgot something she said that was important. Just thought it was interesting.

There’s a lot more than you think when they’re talking to others.

    it’s pretty split honestly.

how did the vaccine cause delta and gamma? both emerged before vaccination in their respective places of origin.

She actually said 40-50% of medical hasn't been vaxxed.

I figured 25-30%, so that number kind of surprised me.

I don't know. I was just relaying info because I thought it was interesting and was the first time I've really had a conversation with someone who was anti-Vax for a reason other than "gub'mint ain't gonna tell me what to do".

It isn't much different, if she isn't putting forth a causal hypothesis.

She may very well have one. I didn't grill her as if defending a dissertation. I just listened to what she said because I found it interesting, even if I don't agree.
