Hispanics are a group ripe for Republicans, religious and family oriented. For those thinking they are just voting to "get stuff", realize that Bush got 40% of the Hispanic vote. What happened? Well, when you have a primary about electrified fences, moats and alligators and referring to illegal immigrants as criminals, then people put two and two together and see what type of people are being demonized. Throw in some very unpopular laws about profiling in Alabama and Arizona and you have a group feeling targeted negatively by one party, especially with many who may know that illegal immigration is a problem, but that most of them are people here for a better life.
