I've reached the point where I no longer get carded for alcohol. The wife is 9 months younger but could pass for 7 years the less.
That comment was more around the fact that more of these marriages are taking place now, so I'm sure we'll all hear about any challenges that arise. After 20 years it is more a formality but, yes, a small deal is planned in CA in a couple of weeks. A small blip in the middle of great wine, food and maybe the occasional scotch.
The annoying shit that comes with marriage is universal. Whether you're married to a man or a woman ... you still have to put up with the peculiarities of another person.
Thanks everyone! Yes, will be in wine country; a definite favorite. I say 'occasional' because wine is the primary alcoholic beverage consumed while out there. A lot of the restaurants have good scotch selection, some with nice flights, so I will definitely indulge as I can.
Or the thermostat. Oh lord, the Thermostat War of 1995 will go down as a tell tale turning of power in my household. I still have not recovered my former glory, much like France.
You're welcome to come, although I think we'll be far less extravagant than what you two are envisioning. We're not planning on using any sequins, glitter or chaps so I'm not sure how much we'll help on the idea front. There will be plenty of good drink, however.
