At a time when almost every program is under scrutiny for bad behavior I like having DD at the helm. Likable guy for the right reasons. I hope he's top caliber but too soon to say. We are in good hands for the transition at least.

 

He came into a bad situation and he has us headed into the right direction. I like the guy and hope he can win here. He's surrounded himself with good assistants and he seems to be able to replace coaches pretty well. I think we're in good hands

 

Like him a lot and hope he gets it done. Problem is a "good job" in this league just might not be enough. When you're 15th in the nation in recruiting yet 7th or so in your conference (not so much putting stock in those actual rankings, just using it to demonstrate the toughness of the league), you have to do a Great Job to get it done. However, some of thse other programs are bound to trend down a bit, so maybe he'll catch the upswing. I think he's plenty competent from what we've seen so far.

 

Upon listening to him tonight, I'm fairly convinced that he thinks this team can be good, like really good. A lot more confident that last year for sure.

The more I hear him talk, the more I like him and the more I want him to win.

 

i wasn't thrilled when we hired him, but after a year i think he will do fine here if he is given time.

He took over a train wreck so last year was a wash. I will reserve judgment until after this year. I want to see the team win every game they are expected to win and at least 1 that they are not supposed to win.

As to the topic, Dooley impresses me more every day. I think he's starting to show his recruiting prowess. Stars don't wow him, he's just trying to pick up pieces the team needs. I think he deserves at least 2014 to bring home an SEC title personally, based on the hole he was given. That said, the new AD is going to know he's going to set his mark with football. Dooley is going to have to impress him very very quickly or get the axe so the AD can bring his guy in.

 

He doesn't have to win an SEC title before 2014, but he has to show something in 2012 and 2013.

 

Everyone is saying 2012 is the year we make Tennessee a household name again. If he doesn't win at least 9 games that year he doesn't see a 2013 IMO.
