Episode 8

Won't see this until after Christmas.

Just introduced my boys to the movies... They love them so far.

 

Rewatching Attack of the Clones right now. Any thoughts on Sifo Dyas as Snoke? I dropped out of the extended universe stuff about the time the prequels were getting going, so I have no knowledge of him outside of references to him in this movie. Seems like ordering the creation of a clone army that eventually turns on the Jedi could be all dark side evil genious-y to me anyway.

On another note, I rewatched Phantom Menace last night. It's actually better than I remembered.

 

The maul vs. Qui gon/Kenobi fight is one of the best ones in the entire saga.

 

Acting and dialogue in Phantom Menace is all time bad. Lots of stupid aliens that would be better suited for a pre-schooler’s cartoon.

 

Qui-gon is my favorite Jedi.

 

No dialog reaches an all time bad in the next two movies. It's like Lucas wanted to destroy the Padme character. I just finished the scene where she rolls around in the field with Anakin. I'm guessing that's where her character goes from serious senator to, "Oh, Ani" on repeat. His wooing is that of a preadolescent as well.

 

If JarJar had just said “Wonaa wonka ha ha” or “Blaaaaaaaaaaaagh” people would love him.

But since he spoke words, he’s a cartoon character.

 

I’m going to an early showing today at 12:30 Central. Will give update.

 

I have tickets for son and I tomorrow at 7:15 pm. Looking forward to it.

The cantina band being behind the First Order was a plot twist i didn't see coming for sure.

 

Was really good. Not very many questions answered but I thought it was good.
