If they are not, then yes they only make 7.25. It doesn't change the bottom line for me, I am just seeking clarification because it seems to be contradictory to claim both.
one is the tax. the other is the benefit which greatly outweighs any tax ever paid. don't get me started on social security in general. it's raping the young to pay the rich old farts. if it was up to me we'd merge it with welfare and get rid of it completely.
i got it for somethign like $50 and it basically only covered major problems. of course that was 15 years ago.

yup. they are just going to raise the retirment age for anyone under 50 to say 70 years old. it's actually not that complicated. i'm surprised they haven't already done it.

And this is a serious issue generally. Who gets elected on a platform of removing laws? Nobody. It's fundamentally difficult for the government to do anything other than add girth. Both parties are guilty of getting girthy with it.
I think his point about contractor work being only regionally competitive is fair. If brand name recognition were meaningful in contracting, we would have seen the effects by now.
Now has 200 applicants. Honestly, he sounds like a good boss. 10 bucks an hour with benefits is a great deal for that kind of work. No complaints.
