Replace Butch with McElwain and that's how we got Tatum.

Which ones?

Henderson is a high 3 star, but his offer list is small. The other two are highly rated.

 

Consistent top ten classes is what we all want and that's not out of reason for Tennessee I don't think. Butch has done well in recruiting. If he wins this year recruiting will be top 5-10 next year.

 

Calloway is a Vol.

This one commit bumped us 11 spots FWIW.

I mean, I get being down on the class somewhat.

Not to the extend of some as I think they will close strong.

Traditionally Butch has had most of a class wrapped up at this point. So the next little bit should be interesting. Callaway was a huge get, though.

Get Warrior, and one of Dickerson/Brown/Kongbo, and all things considered, I'll be pretty happy. The class is going to be small and not ranked super high because of that. Get Warrior and 2 of those and I don't think anyone can complain. I'm guessing 1 or 2 lower rated commits as well.

Got mixed up and thought both Henderson's were JUCO's.

I wasn't terribly impressed with the offer lists for George and Henderson. I know Butch has a habit of being out in front of the pack, but it's hard to tell when that's the case. I think I remember scouts liking George, but I didn't see the same raving reviews that a Von Pearson got. Maybe I'm misremembering.

 

It's not really this class that bothers me. It is more of, "this has got to be a 1 in 5 or 7 year anomaly sort of class or we're never getting over the hump." And I'm saying that assuming we actually end up around rank 15 to 20.

 

If we land a few of the big names we're in on it likely is top 15 and top 10 in star rating. A top 10ish finish is unlikely, but not completely out yet.

Next year should be a top 5-10 or bust year.

 

With the relative number of spots available, I'm not to worried about our ranking number

 

JC Shurburtt and Kipp Adams both said they thought Warrior picks UT today.

On Volnation, the guy most people assume is Travis Henry (VFL34) said that Dale thought Warrior would end up at UT as well.

 

George is 6 ft 6 inches, he adds a threat to just go up and over everyone that no one currently on the team has.
