It validates my fanhood. These teams were littered with bad asses, it isn't just nostalgia.

 

It definitely isn't.

 

Raynoch Thompson had guys scared to make eye contact with him.

Eric Westmoreland will tell you guys were scared to screw up because they didn't want to answer to Al. You didn't fear Chavis or Fulmer.

 

And it pisses me off to no end that coaches and trainers told Larkins "you wouldn't do it that way if Al was here".

Do your ****ing job as a coach or a trainer and teach them how the hell to do things the right, Al approved, way

There were some quotes sort of similar to this stuff made about the workout habits when Johnny Long was here.

 

Frustrating to say the least.

You have to have bad guys on a coaching staff who the players hate but will hold them accountable.
