He’s learned a lot since then. Like, how to melt down and call plays from a different team’s playbook in a 70some point beat down.
Something struck me as odd during the presser. Fulmer was asked, by Hyams I believe, if he thought being named the AD would open the possibility of revisiting candidates that had previously said no. His immediate response was "I was never a head coach until I got the job here". That may not be exactly how he said it, but it seemed like he was answering a question he wasn't asked. Almost felt like he was talking about Tee. This whole process has left me feeling like a battered spouse, so hopefully I'm just reading too much into it.
He did say that, but he followed that up by talking about how important head coaching experience is. Honestly I wouldn’t put any stock into anything that was said at the PC.
Also Fulmer rarely misses a chance to toot his own horn or bring the conversation around to his tenure.
The Steele thing is weird. He isn't head dog material. He knows it. Everyone knows. He's on his last job. Just agent shit I guess.
That's exactly where I am. I think Tee is the odds on favorite and I know that doesnt make a lot of people here happy. That's my personal feeling.
