I agree. And as good as the punt was, I’d still file it in the mistake column for us.

 

That run on 2nd down right after that punt was one of the bad play calls that really stood out. Because then they know you’re throwing on 3rd, which led to what it led to.

 

I honestly thought we would spread them out and use our tight ends in the middle.

 

Our TEs compete hard. But they’re not nearly athletic enough to be a threat to that team

 

With Hooker throwing high so much, coaches might have been hesitant to throw over the middle more than they did.

 

Credit where it's due, the Vols looked like a completely different team today. It's a learning lesson so take the lumps and move on. I expect a pissed off team next week against Mizzou.
