    All due respect to Hat, but just because he doesn't like Butch doesn't mean he won't turn out to be a good coach. Hat doesn't like Malzahn either but he's doing pretty good.

    Saban on espn right now and I've found myself listening for clichés. Now I'm ocd about it. And Saban has used no less than a dozen in a matter of 2-3 minutes.

    Leroy Mercer (John Bean) is the original. He originally could only be found on bootleg tapes. Roy D Mercer is an unoriginal knockoff from a couple of disk jockeys. They are not the same.

    John Bean's prank call character to Thom McCann was Leroy Mercer. See my previous post.

    For the record, he also used the alias Roy Mullins. Mullins....that's a good Melungeon name.
