Americans have been talking about democracy for over 200 years. The rebranding of what America stands for is the new thing.

 

I have zero (ZERO) desire to live in a democracy.

 

You'v been -ismed and -yed into 1984 land. Democracy is now tyranny. Socialism is autocracy. Freedom is unpatriotic

 

Pure democracy would be a Tyranny of the Majority. I do not want that.

I prefer our Democratic Republic.

 

Which is tyranny of the wealthy.

 

You prefer the tyranny of the highly focused narrow minority we presently enjoy.

We have allowed the American Oligarchy (moneyed individuals and their corporations) to co-opt our democratic process.

Corporations are not people, whether that business is privately or publicly held.

Campaign financing has allowed those with the $$$ to control the elected officials.
