His crowning achievement was merging the athletic departments. And he couldn't even finish the job properly.

 

Hart seems to get a lot of credit for righting the ship financially. Should be a major indictment of Hamilton. I think Bama righted their financial ship by winning a lot of football games. Does not seem like magic.

 

SEC Network righted the ship, financially.

 

The only thing missing from it is that Gruden is the number one target for the next search.

They'll probably make pathetically weak offers to a couple of decent names, then settle for whoever is at Southern Miss.

 

I expect to hear some rejections from hilariously unqualified coaches as well. One may to make sure new coach is accepted is make fans believe nobody wants to take the job.

 

No way. Southern Miss is D1-A. We'll go with a D1-AA/D2 "up and comer".
