This country has held back ideals, technology and improvements to this planet and humanity as a whole simply because of arrogance and selfishness, by convincing themselves that giving 10% is good enough, even if they could give 20%.

No, I quite got the gist of the statement you made, along with the tongue in cheek part of it, but your final statement was clear in its intent. The only thing I see is you backtracking because you were caught up in an obvious contradiction. Also, I speak for myself and didn't refer to your arguments as making you a "nationalist pimp", but rather your "Pollyanna" notion of America over a more realistic approach, which is quite different. Otherwise, I've seen nothing on these boards which warrants your conception of intellectual superiority you repeatedly express, particularly to those in the opposite political views category. You thinking that I actually think of myself as some sort of intellectual is rather amusing. I’m happy to have rational discussions, but I’m also not going to back down when people ascribe ridiculous, untrue things about things I’ve never even said. 3 times in 10 years I’ve had a heated discussion on here. Two of them resulted because I had the audacity to defend both my hometown and my appreciation and gratitude for living in America compared to others throughout human history. Radical stuff to take up for I know. After that the only other vitriolic discussion I have ever participated in was a fundamental disagreement with float a few weeks ago over the morality of vaxxed vs unvaxxed. That discussion alone somehow literally resulted in a vote to end the political forum here the next morning.

I’ll always champion the rights those with whom I vigorousky disagree with to hold their own view point on whatever issue it may be. Also far be it from me, but this site literally has an entire message board named after the most famous Vol Internet poster in history who use to end disagreements by encouraging the person he was arguing with to commit suicide.
