Yup. VA Tech is pretty bad talent wise right now. For them to beat us was butch as their coach would mean ut should probably just give us football.

Until hart is out the door, i don't like the idea of him competing with others for a hire, especially when it would involve the merry go round already spinning when we got involved. We wound up with this group when the only other team on the market was arkansas.

I know of butch walks that hart shouldn't be able to make the hire, but as tenny says, "tennessee gonna tennessee."

 

I get it and agree. It's so plausible that it makes me sick to my stomach to think that Hart would pay even more after Butch clearly proved he has coaching deficiencies...multiple times...THIS YEAR...and our program got national attention...FOR BUTCH CHOKING! On the other hand, it's been awhile since we had a good commit...

 

I understand what you are saying, but let's assume for a moment that the Barnes hire is indicative of the next type of target. Rather than an up and comer, hire a tenured winner who may have passed his prime. Who is the football equivalent of that? Tuberville? Fulmer?
