-Sakerlina had the green light from a financial standpoint to get Muschamp. HBC never offered it to him. Lorenzo Ward has gone as far to say (supposedly) that he would be fine with a demotion.
-HBC wanted to retire after the Clemson game. Ray Tanner talked him out of it.
-SSjr has been calling the majority of the plays.

Burton Fowles of Scout has to feel a bit foolish. He twice stated that Muschamp to Sakerlina was a done deal. Funny stuff.

I honestly don't know. Guys that cover South Carolina for Rivals are insinuating that Tanner wanted to make a move for Muschamp; the guy that didn't want to make a move was from lower on the totem pole.

 

If Cocky Talk and The Big Spur are any indicators, a good portion of the fan base is pissed at Spurrier and thinks it is time for him to step aside.

JC Shurburtt (SP?) was on 107.5 The Game in Columbia this afternoon. He said the following (summary):

-SC had a lucrative deal in place for Muschamp. Spurrier shot it down.
-SC didn't visit Paris Palmer during the contact period; he has since de-committed and committed to Penn State.
-Ellis Johnson and Brad Lawing are probably coming back.
-Marquavius Lewis, our other primary target, could follow suit with Palmer and Fields.
-We are still in it for Fields.
-SSjr is basically the assistant head coach.

Our assistant coaches suck for the most part.
