    I was assuming your rule came with D-League pay for that period. Still, if the Cavs are winning like 15 games and LeBron is putting up 50 ppg in the D-League, who exactly is it helping? You're essentially just pushing back their rookie year.

    it gives the kids a chance to make a living if they don't want to go to college. in reality i completely agree they should be able to go pro straight out of hs. i've wondered how the NFL got away with thsi.

    I remember they won some court case when Clarett tried to go early.

    They probably get away with it because people know college athletes would get killed in the NFL.

    That's been the excuse, but don't tell me adrian peterson (as an example) couldn't have played in the nfl as a 18 year old.
