It's odd how sympathetic you get for a serial killer.

 

Just finished season 5. I’m completely sympathetic for his character. Kinda makes me feel dirty.

 

Yea the Trinity Killer was a great few episodes.

 

John Lithgow is good at acting.

 

Frozen Dead - French Netflix original that's a suspense. The English dubbing and the acting were not good. It was kind of like eating a McRib. Sometimes I just can't stop myself.

 

Season 4 and yes, that is up there with S1 as the best IYAM.

Dark Charisma of Adolf Hitler.

Three part series, a tad over-produced at points, but overall well done.

Episode 1 chronicles the rise of Hitler, and how it was ultimately necessitated upon the basic tone / tenor of the average German in the 1930's. I'll not offer my own take, here, but will be interested to see what comparisons any of you might spot, after watching it. It wasn't always comfortable for me, at points.

I've yet to watch the third series, but so far, it's been very good to excellent.

Haven't seen it. I do not wish to make too many comparisons, as to normalize or reduce Hitler and his acts. Hitler "comparisons" are easy for any popular leader. Part of what makes Hitler scary is that as horrible as it all was, we can see how it could happen if we are honest with ourselves.

 

Not on Netflix, but does anybody else watch This is Us?

 

I enjoyed the first season but less and less as it went on and amped up the drama/emotional manipulation. I'm done with it, but my wife still watches it next to a box of kleenex. I wish the writers knew that every second of a show doesn't have to be poignant because pretty soon you lose all respect for all the weepy characters.

 

I get that but I don't think it is overdone to that extent.

The storytelling and how they manage the back/forth are excellent IMO.

 

I agree it's of higher quality than almost anything else on the networks. The dialogue and actors are both good.

 

I can't figure out why network television is so incredibly bad nowadays.

 

Exactly how I feel about it. I've stopped watching; just get my wife to tell me that they teased, but still haven't revealed, the main point of interest yet again.

 

That ain't me.

 

They did this week.

 

I watched one episode, was extremely confused until the wife explained.

 

Damn. I guess I forgot to ask.

Is there anything truly pertinent from the preceding weeks' episodes? Or can I just go ahead and watch this one?
