Bin Laden's mother was the "fourth wife" which meant bin Laden was far removed from the "chosen" inner circle of his first three wives. He knew his mom, but sparingly saw dad. Though Dad was himself a fundamentalist, OBL took it to a whole other level.

 

Have you read Carmen bin Ladin's book? Had some interesting info about the family and Saudi Arabia in general.
