Played baseball until 14, football in middle school* (on the training staff in high school), maybe could've gotten on the high school basketball team but didn't ever try it, currently just play softball and try to play golf now and then. My basketball skills have eroded dramatically in the last 5 or 6 years. *Never tackled by a kicker.
Played organized basketball in elementary/middle. Summer league softball High school basketball played 3 years (was out one season with knee surgery) and softball. College - started interning in sports medicine. Worked every sport imaginable. Professionally - worked collegiate soccer, basketball(s), volleyball, track, softball/baseball, tennis
I wasn't joking. I really do enjoy crapping on football players despite the fact that I couldn't make the two deep on my freshman team. The nice thing is I'm extremely arrogant about my other accomplishments so i've convinced myself that i have the right to be critical.
I had the size, the vision (had the best hands by far of anyone on my junior high team). only problem is i'm one of the slowest dudes on earth. it kind of hurts you in other sports as well. I did once hit a double to tie the game of our 8th grade baseball championship game. of course we lost the game anyway. but that is the extent of my athletic accomplishments.
That would not surprise me and my wife has no athletic ability either so our kids are kind of screwed. She did go to Penn with a virtually perfect SAT score and you guys know how brilliant I am, so at least I can hold over you that my offspring will be by far the brightest on the board.
Also like to add I won PP&K in 78' and 79'. My last year I competed I lost by 1/2" from going to the Super Bowl. Lets see who remembers what PPK is.
Started QB for my high school all 4 years, was all-region... started BB two years, was all-KIL, region and district tourney MVP. Signed to play football with Austin Peay which was a terrible decision. Hated it and jacked up my shoulder so left and went to UT. Coach high school basketball on the side (not a teacher) and would eventually like to coach in college.
