It was very un-Barnhart like to let this thing fester so long.

 

The fire has pretty much been put out. Barnhart had a press conference after Stoops made his comments. Calipari then did an interview with the local CBS affiliate, where he apologized to Stoops. That’s been the last public comments made by anyone associated with the university about this whole thing.

Of the 3 competing for the job, he was the one I would have least wished to face. Not that my feelings are much of a barometer.

I can't decide how I feel about Kelly convincing him to stick around when he could have transferred somewhere in the spring and put up a ton of yards in FCS this year.

 

It will be interesting if it all comes back to haunt. I would think if you convince him to stay, you at least give him a shot at earning it on the field in the first couple of games. Have a rotation. What are the odds one of the other two are going to look like world beaters? Any struggles there, and the LSU rednecks are going to bring this up.
