No program was immune to steroid use, Nebraska just gets scapegoated because they were an easy target when winning. Their real advantage was having a guy that was 20 years ahead of everyone else as their strength coach, Boyd Eply.

They need to call Jim Tressel and see if he is for sure done with coaching.

Bingo. I'd start with him or someone of that pedigree and if all else failed, I'd poach Chris Klieman.

Charlotte looks awful. Kind of shocked to see them look like this.

Reflecting, Nebraska had that game in hand but Frost muddled in the flow when he didn't need to. That's on him. You can't point to talent or roster stuff in that game.

Yep, that onside kick was bad timing.

Frost had that body language only dead man walking lame-duck coaches possess when they know the end is near as soon as that game ending fumble transpired. Kinda felt bad for him. Sure he's rich, but failing like he is at his alma mater has to really suck. Feel bad for Nebraska fans too and empathize with their plight as a Vol fan. I have no hard feelings toward the CornHuskers

I'm thankful I was too young that night to have a conscious memory of that debacle, maybe it's why I have no hard feeling towards them personally. I'm a psychopathic nerd for all things Vol/college football history and enjoy rewatching games before my time out of curiosity regardless of the final outcome. The YouTube algo spit out the 97 Orange Bowl to me recently and I found myself watching that game for the first time. And lemme tell ya: they [uck fay]ing flattened us with a steamroller that night. We didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. That was their night to peak as a program. They haven't been the "Big Red Machine" Nebraska since that night if you think about it.

Something tells me that opening drive may be the high point of the Rainbow Warriors season.

Also, did anybody else sse the social security fraud commercial during that game? I think that dude personally tracks those folks down and beats them.

Meh, would have been #2. Michigan would have won both polls.
