No they don't. Those contracts were already signed without a viewership sliding scale. The only money involved is the 6 Million that will be paid to the SEC over the ACC.

I am a Vol. Rational thinking is not a "thing" where Bama is involved.

Also, there was precedent that no undefeated power 5 school has ever been left out of the playoffs. Precedents can be broken, but I think it is bullshit that it was.

If it was UT and not Bama, I would be [uck fay]ing bending over backwards and sideways to justify it, but would know in my heart it was tainted.

In 1998, I remember the gnashing of teeth of other schools that we made it and then won it all against the backup FSU QB.

As I told my buddy when he worm-burned a missed shot in for eagle. "There is no * beside that 2 on the scorecard."

I was making y'all case on Saturday night/Sunday morning and was hoping neither Bama or UGA was selected. Now that it has been made I can easily see why and am more excited about watching the matchups over current FSU.

I get no joy in watching a Bama game. If they lose, then I at least feel better for doing so. (This does not apply if the Vols are involved.)

I always laugh about the FSU QB excuse that other fans make. First, Outzen was good enough to beat a damn good Florida team. Secondly, people are thinking that the Chris Weinke in 1998 was the same guy as he was in 1999 and 2000. When Weinke got hurt in November, he was only completing 50% of his passes. He wasn’t very good in 1998.

Nobody seems to remember that Tennessee was without Jamal Lewis.

Because it didn’t matter. Tennessee rolled out a fleet of badass of backs, and kept on pounding everybody. Next man up, and Tennessee’s next men were that damn good.

Chris Weinke would have been crippled by halftime had he played.

It did not fit the narrative.

I look forward to the day when we have the depth, skill and want-to of that 98 team.

Let's not go crazy. 5-7, no Bowl, questions about their Coach being fired.

We’re discussing the ‘98 season. That Florida team finished 10-2, with both of their losses coming to the two teams who played for the national championship.

Sorry, I thought we were discussing the CFP selection committee.

We got tired of talking about them. We went back to happier times.

Why do the academies insist on running the triple option? Surely they cannot get enough kids that run it in high school. Is it the inability to recruit a decent QB?

No, it has to do with not being able to have 300+ lb linemen.
