    Yep. Part of me hopes that he gets a gig somewhere to offset some of his buyout; then fails miserably.

    Another part of me hopes he stays an intern forever.

    I feel like getting the nod at some bottom tier P5 or mid-major and flaming out would be so much more satisfying to watch.

    Holtz > Butch

    Butch = Dooley

    Dooley > ?

    It actually makes Condelezza Rice sound like not so bad of a choice.

    There is absolutely, unequivocally nothing better in this world that could happen than watching Butch flame out at Purdue.

    He could be forced have to wash Saban’s bal...errr... car 100 times and that would still not be as good.

    All of me hopes he falls out of an airplane without a parachute.

    Flaming out at Purdue is better than this. Trust me.

    In the last 20 years the one time they didn't hire a guy with USC connections it was the only good hire they made.

    I am already starting to feel sorry for the Purducks.

    yet they didn't seem to learn their lesson. and i think it's closer to 40 years now. though i do think larry smith didn't have usc connections and he sucked. but that was like the early 90s.

    Rather lose the USC way than win the outsider way.

    What is UCLA's excuse? Different tradition, I know, bit seems they could be a powerhouse as well. I don't know the geography of LA though, and their campus may be complete shit as well.

    Of course, they made a home run hire last year, if they can get him to actually care about it.

    ucla doesn't have a commitment to football and never has. they will spend money on basketball. the off campus stadium i don't think helps either. westwood is one of the nicest neighborhoods in all of los angeles. much nicer than USC.

    Bryan Harsin, Matt Wells, Jim Leavitt, and your boy Tedford are being mentioned for CU. Looks like their kicking the tires on Dana Holgorsen as well.
